Spectra Eye Hospital had served Kolkata since 2001. Its two branches occupied very different local search markets. Chinar Park served Rajarhat and nearby eastern neighbourhoods. Madhyamgram served Barasat and the northern Kolkata corridor.

Google local search treated them as two separate businesses. Each branch competed on its address, profile, reviews, and nearby users. However, the website approached Kolkata as one broad market. That approach weakened local relevance around both physical locations.

SEO Noida rebuilt the campaign around each branch individually. Chinar Park received one search territory and local identity. Madhyamgram received another, with separate queries and nearby areas. The work connected both identities through one hospital website.

The brief

The goal sounded concise: move both branches into local top-three results. Achieving it required more than adding Kolkata across several pages. Local positions changed with search location and query wording. Each branch needed strength within its own practical service area.

The campaign therefore focused on branch-level discovery. Google Business Profiles needed accurate and complete location information. Website pages needed stronger service and branch relationships. Citations and reviews needed separation across both hospital locations.

Organic pages also had to support the local profiles. A profile could introduce the branch, while the website supplied deeper evidence. Service pages, doctor pages, branch details, and appointments needed connected navigation. Together, those elements created one local search system per branch.

The starting problem

Spectra already had pages for cataract, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and paediatric services. It also had separate doctor and branch sections. Yet services and locations followed mostly independent website patterns. Search engines received limited context connecting each treatment with each branch.

The branch pages carried separate URLs, hours, and contact options. However, they offered limited relevance across surrounding neighbourhoods. The Google Business Profiles also needed more complete service information. Broad Kolkata targeting further diluted neighbourhood-level relevance.

External listings created another branch identity problem. Names, addresses, and telephone details required separate consistency checks. One incorrect number could connect a patient with the wrong location. Review collection also needed branch-level ownership and responses.

Physical distance created the final local constraint. Chinar Park could compete strongly around Rajarhat and New Town. Madhyamgram could compete around Barasat and nearby northern areas. Neither branch could control proximity across every Kolkata neighbourhood.

The work

What SEO Noida did

1

Divided Kolkata into two local search territories

SEO Noida began with branch-centred keyword research. Every query combined a service, locality, branch, or nearby intent. The map then separated opportunities according to the nearest branch. Both locations therefore stopped competing for identical local queries.

  • Chinar Park territory. Rajarhat, New Town, Baguiati, Kestopur, and Teghoria
  • Madhyamgram territory. Barasat, Sodepur, Michael Nagar, and nearby areas
2

Optimised both business profiles separately

SEO Noida treated each Google Business Profile as an independent branch. The team checked addresses, telephone details, hours, map pins, and website links. Available categories matched the primary function of each hospital location. Each profile linked its corresponding branch page and search territory.

Descriptions reflected the correct location and surrounding neighbourhoods. Appointment options directed visitors toward the relevant hospital centre. The profiles no longer depended on one generic Kolkata identity.

3

Connected services with both hospital branches

The website needed stronger relationships between services and physical locations. SEO Noida mapped priority service pages to both branch sections. Cataract, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and paediatric pages supported local query groups. Contextual links connected those services with relevant branch information.

Branch pages linked visitors with doctors, hours, contact details, and appointments. Doctor pages connected specialists with their service categories. Breadcrumbs reinforced relationships across hospital, branch, service, and doctor sections. The architecture supported local profiles with deeper website evidence.

4

Built relevance around nearby neighbourhoods

The campaign connected surrounding localities with the nearest existing branch. Chinar Park content focused on eastern and northeastern neighbourhoods. Madhyamgram content focused on Barasat-side and northern Kolkata searches. Every local reference pointed toward one physical Spectra location.

The approach protected both branch identities across surrounding-area searches. It also avoided creating fictional hospitals inside nearby neighbourhoods. Service-area relevance came from useful branch context and accurate directions. Physical addresses stayed limited to Chinar Park and Madhyamgram.

5

Separated citations and reviews across branches

SEO Noida audited names, addresses, and telephone details across local platforms. Each branch received its own citation checklist and correction record. Directory information followed the matching hospital location. The process reduced overlap between Chinar Park and Madhyamgram listings.

Review requests followed visits at the relevant branch. Responses acknowledged feedback through the corresponding business profile. Website testimonials supported trust while staying separate from profile reviews. Reputation work developed prominence around each location independently.

6

Strengthened on-page and mobile SEO

SEO Noida refined titles, descriptions, headings, and branch references. Internal links connected services, doctors, locations, costs, and appointment options. Important commercial pages received stronger placement within website navigation. Mobile visitors reached branch contact options with fewer steps.

Call, WhatsApp, location, and appointment actions stayed accessible across smaller screens. Preferred-centre selection directed each enquiry toward the intended branch. Loading improvements focused on important service and location pages. Mobile work supported local searches near appointment decisions.

7

Improved entity and answer-system readability

Organization and PostalAddress markup described hospital and location information. FAQPage markup supported suitable visible questions and answers. AggregateRating markup represented rating information displayed within the website. Visible page content supported every included schema property.

Question-focused sections placed concise answers beneath descriptive headings. Short passages separated location, service, timing, and appointment information. Search engines could extract those answers with stronger surrounding context. The same format supported generative search interpretation.

The results

Both branches reached the local top 3

Both branches entered top-three local results within their nearby search areas.

Chinar Park
Top-three visibility around its target neighbourhoods. Searches connected the hospital with Rajarhat and nearby eastern areas. Profile and website pages supported one consistent branch identity.
Madhyamgram
Top-three visibility around its northern search territory. Local discovery connected the branch with Barasat-side and nearby areas. Separate profile signals prevented overlap with Chinar Park.

Positions still varied with each user location and query. The achievement reflected branch-level visibility within realistic nearby search areas. It never depended on one fixed position across Kolkata.

Why the strategy worked

The campaign respected how Google local search evaluates physical locations. Relevance came from accurate profiles and connected website pages. Proximity improved when each branch targeted nearby search territories. Prominence developed through reviews, citations, and consistent branch evidence.

The two branches shared one brand without sharing one local identity. Chinar Park competed within its eastern neighbourhood cluster. Madhyamgram competed within its northern and Barasat-side cluster. The website connected both through common services and doctor information.

The branch-first system supported the recorded local top-three result. It also created a stronger foundation for organic and generative discovery. Spectra could expand service coverage without merging its two locations.
